Ok, I admit it, lame headline but cool content…

Justin Dupre is having a cool little affiliate marketing contest with Tatto Media sponsoring. The cool part is you don’t have to be a great affiliate marketer to have a chance to win. Sure, it would definitely help your odds of winning but you get entry points for just applying (and getting accepted) to Tatto Media network. Then you can earn more entries for retweeting and blogging about the contest. Of course if you are an experienced marketer you can earn a ton of extra entries by just earning money. For every $100 you earn after signing up through Jusitns link you get 5 extra entries.

So what can you win? The winner will get their choice between a massive 25.5 inch monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 2693HM 25.5-inch LCD Monitor) or a very cool little Eee PC Netbook (ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10-Inch Netbook)! I’ve been really wanting to get a netbook so I could have a dedicated “business” computer that I can use anytime and not have to share and such and this Eee PC gets great reviews. It would be perfect! Even though the Samsung monitor retails for more, I’d get the netbook anyday. Who knows, maybe Tatto would be willing to upgrade the RAM or something since there is a price difference heheh .

So who is one of the better CPA (also known ad performance marketing networks, or as Tatto prefers: behavioral advertising network) networks that you may not have heard of. There are quite a lot of choices for a publisher when it comes to CPA networks but there are some very obvious differences between a lot of them that many people don’t always notice. For example, rather than just jump on the buggy directtrack tracking system that a lot of networks use, Tatto Media has a custom built tracking system and backend that won’t have the same bugs and downtime that others networks using directrack will. They also have a ton of offers and are very competitive with payouts. They have less fluff in their system so can offer great payouts.

Although I am still just starting running some campaigns (just signed up) I have talked with Mike, who is now my affiliate manager, and he was really helpful and knowledgeable. I’m really looking forward to working with them more in the future.

Thanks to both Justin and Tatto Media for the great contest!

And of course there is the contest post (contest over). Be sure to enter but just don’t do too good…I want to share Justins blog and Tatto but I still want to win lol. Hey, I NEED a netbook so I’m sure you can understand

You probably all already know that I am a fan of Gyutae Park and especially his skill at setting up and promoting contest. I’m not the only fan of his great contest and methods though as DNXPERT was inspired and setup their own great contest with a very respectable amount of prizes too. They also got a lot of the related industry pros together to sponsor some great prizes and although many of the prizes are related to domain names there are plenty of other great prizes up for grabs that anyone would probably like (such as cash!).

The contest is run on a point system and after you do the first step, join the newsletter and post about it, you are entered for a random draw later in the month. As Gyutae did with his last contest, there are quite a few other ways already to earn bonus entries ranging from a few extra “tickets” up to 20 tickets for blogging about the contest. Most of the extra bonus points are very easy to get too…stuff like digging the post and stumbling the post.

The draw is supposed to happen on live video so everyone will know exactly how it goes down and who wins what.

Anyway, if you haven’t heard about it yet or haven’t taken the time to join stop on over and get some entries as there are only a few weeks left.

Here is the current full list of prizes to get you motivated :

Gyutae Park of WinningTheWeb.com is the man to go to to see how contest should be done. He’s only really had two contest so far but the scope and scale of them are amazing. The first was much smaller but very well planned out and came along with tons of great info for bloggers to learn something and get ideas for their own contest. The second, correctly titled “Craziest internet marketing contest you’ve ever seen” is in fact a HUGE contest with a massive prize list. Not only is the cash value (well over $10k now) huge but all the single prizes are great and well valued. Meaning that $10k isnt just made up of 10 dumb ebooks “valued” at $1000 each but rather a lot of really great products and services well worth the money.

I’m not even going to post the prize list to make you more curious and go check it out but I’ll just say that it is definitely worth taking part.

It’s hard to believe that WinningTheWeb.com hasn’t been around very long or that Gyutae hasn’t been blogging on his site for long but don’t be fooled to think his “new” blog is lacking content or real advice. If anything, it’s more like he saved up his best ideas and content for years and it releasing it all now at an incredible rate. Sure, I get credits for the contest by blogging about the contest but I honestly believe WinningTheWeb.com is a great resource and have been linking to them for a long time now (even though that is now also a contest entry lol).

Be sure to go visit the contest and regardless if you win or not (which you have great odds right now) be sure to also stay around and check out his “real” post which can be harder to find while he is trying to manage this huge contest.

Check out the contest information here: Internet Marketing Blog

Breakfast of Chmpions…for champions who most likely die young from eating so much fried butter and cholesterol.

Ok, yeah. Pretty off topic but I never said this blog wouldn’t include stupid things that go on in my life. Though this is certainly not one of those cases because since I have discovered Veggs™ I have been in heaven.

I don’t know how many of you have known about this all your life…seems to be either you have heard of them or you haven’t, but my first glimpse of this holy food was in the movie V For Vendetta. It was the scene where V is happily cooking away making the beautiful Evey (Natalie Portman) breakfast. I wasn’t sure what it was but it looked good. From the few glimpses it looked like some kind of biscuit with an egg laid on top of it or something. Although intrigued, I soon forgot about it and just assumed it was some strange British thing.

Well it wasn’t until a few days ago (and a carton of eggs + loaf of bread), that I learned what was actually going on in V’s kitchen. He was already pretty bad ass but, my god, can there be a better breakfast food?!?

It’s also so simple to make for someone as lazy as me…

All you need is:

1 egg

1 slice of bread

butter

salt

pepper

To make <STRIKE>eggs in a basket</STRIKE> Veggs™, butter one side of the bread slice and make a hole in the middle just big enough to fit an egg (and upside down cup or cookie cutter works well). Put the bread on a skillet, butter side down. Then you need to put the egg into the hole inside the bread and salt and pepper to taste. Wait until the egg white becomes solid. then you flip the bread and egg together as one with a spatula. Let the bread and egg sit for about 1 minute. Then your done.

The trick is to make sure there is plenty of butter and not to cook it too long so some of the yolk still flows when you cut into the delicious little thing. If you like that “dipping toast into your yolk” taste then you should love this as much as I do.

This “dish” seems to go by several different names though I am officially renaming it Veggs™ in honor of the late (spoiler warning) V. If you want to find the various incarnations out there and the other silly names it goes by, “Egg in a Basket” seems to be the most popular.

I know, I know. YOU have been eating this all your life and “everybody” knows about these. Yeah, whatever. No one bothered to tell my mother about it when I was a kid. No one bothered to lighten up my life during the lonely and broke bachelor years. So you just blow off with your all mighty tone. I’m enjoying MY Veggs™

wikipedia has a decent explanation how to make this if it seemed a bit too complicated with my description…

And PLEASE post if you have some other well hidden super food like this! I’ve already wasted decades missing out on Veggs™, don’t let this tragedy happen again!
