Anyone do geo-targeted PPC campaigns? Need a US zip code database?
The guys over at ZipCodeGuy.com is giving out a "free" database of US zip codes along with cities, counties, states and such. Seems like a pretty decent database. To be honest, I’m too much of a noob to know how to take advantage of zip codes in my ads as I can’t think of any types of searches where users would use zip codes. I guess if they saw "90210 dating" and it is geo targeted they may check it out but that is the only type of way I can think to use it. I assume there are plenty of other good ways to use zip codes in your campaigns but I’ll have to wait until later when I figure it out. But I can definitely see city and state databases being really useful even if people don’t respond to targeted zip codes.
